Job Title: Visual Merchandising Associate

Boston Interiors is a successful family-owned home furnishings retailer with sevem stores in Eastern Massachusetts.  

We are looking for a full time Visual Merchandising Associate who is energized, self-motivated and ready to work in a fast paced retail environment. This key staff member contributes to the profitability of our showrooms by creating an inviting and visually stimulating shopping experience for our visitors.

Key Accountabilities:

• Follow merchandising directives to create visually appealing showroom displays that help drive the sales of the store.
  
• Assist in planning the product placement and vignette development according to merchandising standards.
  
• Accessorize and maintain the displays on a regular basis.
  
• Receive, unpack, and price incoming accessories.
  
• Responsible for the overall lighting of the showroom.
  
• Accurately maintain inventory allocation systems.
  
• Assist in implementation of changes and improvements and be willing to take on other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience in visual merchandising, retail or related field.
  
• Must have strong visualization and space planning skills and the ability to work independently.
  
• Familiarity with and interest in design and home furnishings is highly recommended.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook applications.
  
• Ability to travel to store locations in Eastern Massachusetts, including Cape Cod.
  
• Candidates must be able to lift up to 20-30 lbs, manipulate overhead lighting fixtures up to 9’ and stand/walk the showroom frequently throughout the day.
