Nursing Assistants (Rehabilitation Nursing Technicians) -Full Time/Part Time/Per Diem - all shifts

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: The rehabilitation nursing technician (RNT) assists the nursing staff and therapists with patient related activities and direct patient care. The rehabilitation nursing technician may assist with treatments at the direction of nursing after successful completion of skill level competencies. Refer to state practice acts for the definition of direct supervision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • C.N.A. Certification or Previous experience in patient care in a skilled nursing center, hospital or rehabilitation center highly desirable (Newly Certified C.N.A.'s welcome to apply)

  • Must be able to express self effectively in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff members, representatives of community and government agencies.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient care and staff information.
  • Consistently demonstrates team qualities; i.e. communication skills, fairness, respect, and a willingness to help others, which promote a positive work environment.
  • Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, lift) intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift patients, medical equipment, supplies etc, up to 50lbs.consistently throughout shift
  • Must be able to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays
