Overview

As a Senior Product Development Engineer you will assist in the development of medical devices.


Use Your Skills and Expertise To:

  • Lead the development of medical devices.  Experience with implanted devices, covered stents, catheters, and/or coronary interventions.
  • Designs, runs, and gathers data for series of experiments.
  • Analyzes and documents test results in a laboratory notebook.
  • Participates in the design of new test methods and procedures.
  • Responsible for processing ECO's.
  • Responsible for implementing design control requirements.
  • Responsible for analyzing customer needs and market requirements.
  • Supports laboratory and clinical research.
  • Supports production and manufacturing.
  • Acts as project leader and coordinates design control process.
  • Evaluates patents for specific technology areas and files patents as required.
  • Vendor contract and specification development.
  • Interface with other departments such as Customer Service, Marketing, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


Bachelor degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Biomedical or related field with one to three years product development with experience bringing products to market preferred; experience and a science degree or other engineering qualification could be considered.  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  Proficient written and verbal skills.  Demonstrated capability and understanding of delivery platforms and deployed devices required.
