JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Staff Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients (pediatric, young adult, middle adult and geriatric patients), communicates with families, physicians, and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical record. Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy License, CPR certification within 90 days of hire.  APTA Membership strongly encouraged.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with patients, families, staff members, representatives of community and government agencies.
• Demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm for sharing clinical information
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain the confidentiality of all patient care information
• Demonstrates the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
