JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Staff Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients (pediatric, young adult, middle adult and geriatric patients), communicates with families, physicians, and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical record. Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The successful candidate for the Occupational Therapist role will possess: 

·         Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License, CPR certification within 90 days of hire.  AOTA and MAOT membership strongly encouraged.  NBCOT must be in good standing.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with patients, families, staff members, representatives of community and government agencies
• Able to work both independently on caseload and in a team environment to provide excellent patient care
