Five Star Quality care operates two Rehabilitation Hospitals in the Boston area, Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital and New England Rehabilitation Hospital.  We currently are recruiting for open positions in our Regional Patient Accounts Department, located in our Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital Facility at 250 Pond Street, Braintree, MA 02184.

Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, a 187 bed Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Hospital and New England Rehabilitation Hospital, a 168 bed Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Hospital have been providing top-notch rehabilitation services for over 30 years. Our patient- centered care has helped to guide many people back to their highest level of functioning following a variety of illnesses and traumatic injuries.

Patient Accounts Representative- Full Time

We are currently accepting applications for Regional Patient Accounts Representatives.

The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of patient account information on a daily basis. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the transmission of electronic claims to appropriate payer daily, reconciling account balances to daily cash postings, pulling cash explanation of balances, working account balances, maintaining/updating patient demographic information, preparing and keying batches, establishing priority claims according to age/dollar amount, maintain, monitor and document trial balance reports, communicating with third party payers, auditors, patients, physician's offices, and supervisor regarding issues with accounts as well as providing billing information and reports/statistical information per supervisory requests.

Qualities and Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or Equivalent

-Minimum one year of experience in third party billing/collections, Medicare/Medicaid billing

-Hospital Patient Accounts Experience a plus

-Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance requirements

-Solid computer skills -proficient with MS Office Suite and billing software

-Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal

-Able to multi-task in a busy office environment

-Able to meet daily deadlines
