OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - (critical need)

Day Shift

Our client a medical facility in the Arlington,MA area has asked that we search for an OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST.  The employees at this facility are treated with dignity and respect, and are offered multiple opportunities not only to grow, but to prosper.

The OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST provides occupational therapy evaluations, modalities and treatment in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. The staff occupational therapist provides an environment conductive to safety for patients, visitors and staff. The therapist assesses the risks for safety and implements precautions and complies with appropriate and approved safety standards. The occupational therapist demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate levels of service to patients and customers in specific age groups. The occupational therapist participates in performance improvement and program development activities.

Requirements:                                                              

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy School required.

Driver Assessment skill set strongly preferred*

Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Massachusetts.

One or more years experience as an Occupational Therapist in acute care setting.

Effective leadership skills in delegating, organizing and educating coworkers.

Good oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare providers.
