Job Purpose / Mission:

We have an opportunity for a Technology Manager within the Technology Consulting practice at Cramer. Your primary responsibility will be leading the architecture and development of technical solutions for one or more of Cramer’s clients. As a Technology Manager, you will divide your time between technical consulting, technical management and high-level design/development activities with your team of engineers. The Technology Manager reports to the Director of Technology Consulting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with client stakeholders and business analysts to elicit business, functional and technical requirements
  • Participate in scoping activities, working with project managers and engineering leads to identify risks, generate task breakdowns, estimate work durations and sequence dependencies
  • Generate technical specifications and contribute to architecture and high-level technical design activities
  • Act as the primary technical interface between the engineering team and other Cramer capabilities
  • Actively communicate status and risks to project managers
  • Work closely with the User Experience team to generate functional specifications
  • Partner with the Creative team to explore technical capabilities and understand constraints of the medium
  • Support the Analytics team by ensuring the measurability of our technology solutions
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to draft test plans
  • Act as a subject matter expert on client-side systems and processes, collecting and managing knowledge on existing systems and protocols
  • Act as a steward for processes, practices and methodologies—whether internal, client-facing or client-side

  • Familiarity with service-oriented architectures and message-oriented middleware
  • A firm grasp on accessibility, usability and user interface concerns
  • Understanding of semantic markup, CSS-driven layouts and unobtrusive JavaScript
  • Business process analysis and modeling skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of development experience with knowledge in enterprise architecture and systems integration
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience leading technical teams
  • Agency, consulting or delivery-oriented professional services experience is a plus
  • Content management, marketing automation or internet commerce experience is a plus
