We are currently looking for a (30 hour per week) Bilingual Field Interviewer. In that position, the Field Interviewer will:
· Administer informed consent and conduct one on one field research interviews with a diverse group of respondents;
· Follow data collection procedures and project specific protocols with respondents;
· Collect physiological data from respondents (blood pressure, height/weight, hip/waist measurements and blood sample);
· Complete all necessary paperwork in a thorough and timely manner following specified procedures and protocols for all editing and paperwork;
· Attend project meetings and debriefing sessions, while communicating daily with supervisory staff at NERI.
Qualifications:
· Must be bilingual (English/Spanish);
· Must have demonstrated phlebotomy skills;
· Must be willing to travel and conduct interviews throughout the city of Boston and up to a 90 mile radius of NERI headquarters. Mileage will be reimbursed in accordance to NERI policy;
· Must be able to work morning hours (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM);
· Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience; or high school diploma and 4 years’ related experience and/or training;
· Must be sensitive to multi-cultural populations;
· Ability to conduct non-biased interviews;
· Ability to interview difficult respondents and have strong interpersonal skills;
· A valid Driver License, Car and Valid Auto Insurance are required;
· Ease and familiarity with computers is preferred.
