Panera Bread SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Position Mission
Provide daily working supervision of associates to ensure company standards are maintained and continually improved, act as the liaison between the associates and management regarding customer satisfaction, and may perform opening and closing functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain Quality Bakery-Cafe Operations While Ensuring Customer Satisfaction
• Respond to routine customer complaints and inform the next level of management as necessary.
• Perform all opening and closing functions.
• Ensure adherence to all bakery-cafe policies and procedures.
• Observe, assess and maintain equipment and physical environment for cleanliness.
• Assess the quality of the product throughout the day to ensure standards are met, informing the General Manager of significant quality issues.
• Incorporate the 5 concept values into daily operation of the bakery-cafe.
• Assist in helping the bakery-cafe adhere to P.E.G.S standards.
Management and Development of Associates
• Supervise the performance of associates.
• Deploy associates during a shift.
• Follow the process for new hire orientation, training of new associates and new product roll-outs.
• Provide effective leadership on assigned shifts; serve as roll model for professional behavior.
Competencies
• High School diploma, AA preferred.
• 1-2 years food management experience, preferably in limited food service atmosphere.
• Ability to plan, motivate and influence others.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
