Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

? Interface with customer security infrastructure to ensure program security milestones are met with full accreditation

? Direct management of system administration team

? Uninterrupted maintenance and administration of the networks, servers, and company-internal client systems

? Development of proactive system administration processes, including but not limited to updates, patches and fixes, system enhancements, log monitoring, and system hardening

? Support of IT services for all departments to ensure the highest level of productivity and customer satisfaction

? Validates team's systems design and recommendations intended to solve particular business needs.

? Manages vendor contacts to educate team and stay abreast of technology.

? Manages deployment of new system hardware/software making to ensure system stability and availability are maintained.

? Manages small to complex projects.

? Monitors performance for distributed systems.

? Ensures system SLA's are met.

? Help provide the lowest cost solution that meets the customer needs and expectations. Including functional features, system architecture, components, and design process.

? Lead requirements engineering activities in support of platform and product development.

? Work to develop partners and suppliers, when applicable, to provide the best solution.

? Establishes clear goals and directions for the team.

? Performs other duties as assigned.

? Provide communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department.

? Ask questions; encourage input from team members.

? Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.

? Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility

? Coach and mentor technical staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.

? Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to technical staff based on feedback.

? Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.





Typical Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess ten or more years of management experience plus a background in:

? A working knowledge of both, DCID 6.3 and NISPOM, Chapter 8 is essential

? A multiplatform network environment, including Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, and Storage Management

? A geographically distributed 24/7 operating environment
