Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL) is a 100+-year-old organization dedicated to providing seniors with the highest quality of life through an integrated network of health care, research, housing and teaching programs in the Greater Boston area. Our health-care network comprises Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, a long-term, sub-acute, and long-term medical acute care facility in Boston; three senior housing sites-Jack Satter House in Revere, Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph, and Center Communities of Brookline; and Orchard Cove, a life-care community in Canton. The Institute for Aging Research in Boston, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, is one of the most prestigious aging research facilities in the country. HSL's NewBridge on the Charles, our premier multigenerational continuing care retirement community in Dedham, consists of 256 independent living units, 50 assisted living units, 41 memory support assisted living units, and a 268-bed Health Care Center, which offers long-term and sub-acute care. Hebrew SeniorLife also offers services to the community, including Adult Day Health programs and outpatient clinics in audiology, exercise, memory disorders, osteoporosis screening, and rehabilitation.

Reporting directly to the Sous Chef of Independent Living at NewBridge on the Charles located in Dedham, Massachusetts; this key position is responsible for preparation of entrees, vegetables, salads and desserts on menus for all regular and special diets, for members and personnel. To prepare palatably for all members the proper amounts of all foods on the menu in accordance with production sheets in accordance with Sous Chef and First Cook. May need to order and receive food, and cooperate in the preparation of food with other work shifts.Attends daily production meetings for review of days' work and upcoming events. Tastes and smells food to determine quality and palatability. Must be accurate in measurements and show good judgment and initiative in preparing food, supervising personnel and maintaining sufficient dietary standards.
