We are currently looking for an Epidemiologist. This is an exciting opportunity for a PhD Epidemiologist with a concentration in Psychiatry to serve as the project director for the first longitudinal registry of combat-exposed men and women with PTSD. This registry will provide essential data on the natural history and outcomes associated with PTSD in military service men and women who have utilized the VA health care system. Additionally the position will support other studies at NERI in our Epidemiology Department.
A PhD with several years of postdoctoral experience with PTSD or depression in adults; experience with protocol development; prior experience participating in data analysis planning and implementation; coordination of project work with external investigators and project staff; coordination with IRBs, and experience writing grants and manuscripts.
Strong analytical skills, advanced statistical skills and experience with widely used platforms (e.g., SAS, SPSS). Psychiatric diagnosis and assessment as well as measurement of psychiatric and psychosocial outcomes also preferred.
