Responsible for the overall management of subcontract activity supporting the companys key development, production, capital and operational requirements. Develops, evaluates and implements strategies and tactics to ensure both short and long term customer and business objectives are achieved. Identifies, establishes and manages initiatives to continuously improve organization and company performance. Ensures that subcontract management and administration is accomplished within all prerequisites of federal procurement regulations, corporate policies and procedures, cost, schedule, quality and technical performance. Directs and manages the efforts of a staff of Subcontract professionals. Working through a matrix organization, may lead a team of engineering, manufacturing, contracts, finance, administrative and other support personnel to accomplish all of the above. Provides management and control of subcontract programs while retaining the identity, involvement, and responsibility for each functional area?s discipline. Evaluates performance reports, identifies risks and opportunities and directs efforts to address same. Prepares regular status reports and makes presentations to management and customers regarding subcontract performance. Subcontract program responsibility generally large dollar and/or of relatively high complexity.

Requires a Bachelor degree or the equivalent and 15+ years of experience including Program Management for complex engineering design and manufacturing programs or Subcontracts Management. Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) programs and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) preferred.
