Warehouse Production Supervisor

Due to upcoming growth and production we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Production Supervisor

Imperial Distributors, a leader in the distributing and merchandising of the highest quality supermarket nonfood products, is looking for a Conscientious, Detail Oriented and Enthusiastic person to join our world-class, highly successful company as a Warehouse Supervisor. Responsibilities include; operating an efficient, productive and safe department, supervise all throughput and support areas as required, coordinates staffing to accommodate seasonal volume and is responsible for leadership and development of those in his/her area of responsibility. This is a hands-on position including the following key responsibilities:

Directing day to day personnel movement activities in the warehouse
Performance of key indicators including but not limited to inventory accuracy, safety, productivity & other key warehouse indicators
Participating in continuous improvement projects such as bar code implementation
Safety, cleanliness, security & organization of warehouse
Analyzing work flow & developing improvements to maximize productivity
Ensures that established procedures are followed.

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

College degree preferred or experience may be substituted for education
3-5 years of management/supervisory experience
Excellent leadership, planning, organizing communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of safety practices, warehouse product handling and basic freight management
Proficiency with basic computer operations & programs such as Outlook & Excel
Position requires an individual with strong planning skills
Ability to give and take direction
Job ownership with follow through on tasks to completion with expected results
