JOB DESCRIPTION
We are in need of a Job Product / Production support engineering for electronic controls. Will be interacting between operating groups within the Division to resolve
Problems evaluate alternatives and assure accurate and timely
Documentation and launch of products. Significant involvement with customers, their new and existing applications as well as problem solving; and with vendor
Qualifications: BS Electrical Engineering with 7 years minimum hardware design experience preferred, or an AS degree with 10 minimum years of related technical experience. Embedded software design experience a plus. Ability to provide quotes for build to print and derivatives of current product.
Competencies: 1) PCB CAD Tool - PADS DX Designer, CAM350 Gerber Legacy PCB modifications. 2) Project Management - Ability to create, communicate and track schedules with internal and external customers. 3) Component Engineering - Electronic and Mechanical components - Substitution impact analysis with customer and agency notifications. 4) Microsoft office - Advanced Word, Excel skills, Microsoft Access - Intermediate to Advance skills. 5) Software verification and debug - Code checkout. 6) Product Verification and Validation in labs - Ability to execute Agency and Customer test programs. 7) Model launch - BOM and drawing creation, Engineering release, PPAP support and discrepancy resolution
Accountabilities
1. Interfaces with design, process, test and reliability engineering to solve problems.
2. Sustains products with cost reduction and yield improvements.
3. Qualification of new or substituted parts to be included in new or existing design.
4. Assure proper testing for our products intended to be applied to new applications.
5. Maintain accuracy of approved vendor list and assure timely entry of new programs.
6. Process deviations, engineering change requests, nonstandard inspections, and
engineering change notices to assure responsible implementations.
7. Interface with vendors to resolve performance and quality issues and implement
decertification program.
8. Interface with Purchasing, Marketing, QC, Incoming and Manufacturing.
9. Involvement with agency approvals, recognitions, and inspections.
