Overview

Performance Technology Associates, Inc. (PTA) is currently seeking qualified candidates to join its team of training and documentation professionals. PTA has an immediate need for experienced instructional designers/content developers who will work on project teams designing and developing an array of client solutions, including classroom and online training, supporting reference documentation, and related deliverables.

Position status

Hourly, 20+ hours/week, work from home possible

Requirements

• Instructional designers: 5+ years of experience as an instructional designer/developer for classroom and online solutions
• Technical writers: 5+ years of experience researching and developing content for use in manuals and training materials
• Demonstrated experience working closely with SMEs and client stakeholders to assess needs, capture knowledge and develop solutions
• Ability to travel (less than 10%) to client locations across U.S.
• Proficient in MS Office

Preferences

• Fluency in structured writing methodology, either DocuTools or Information Mapping
• Interest in becoming certified to teach PTA workshops in Instructional Design and Structured Writing across the U.S.
• Experience using Dreamweaver, Captivate, Articulate, Lectora and/or similar eLearning tools
