Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Job Coach

SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for providing skills training, travel training and support services necessary for consumers to facilitate successful adjustment to community based employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1.  Perform time studies in compliance with DOL 14C.

2.  Train participants to job tasks as outlined in standards.

3.  Work with managers to keep participants on task to meet production goals.

·        Identify behavioral and/or performance issues.

·        Record behavioral/and/or performance issues into P&S database.

·        Record overall job performance into P&S database. (i.e., Monthly Participant Evaluation Profiles (MPEP)).

·        Once manager is aware of the fact that participant is non-responsive to documented intervention protocols, contact Case Manager or On-Call Case Manager to remove participant from the work environment.

4.  Orient (and re-orient) participant to job tasks.

5.  Process time records –attendance and time sheets for all non-Goodwill worksites.

6.  Maintain piece rate counts.

7.  Attend weekly job coach meetings.

8.  Participate in ISP meetings when appropriate.

9.  Maintain positive employer relations and present the participant and agency in a positive and professional manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of 1 year experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business written material,  job specific procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, participants, customers and the general public.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Requires a CORI and a drivers license.  Must have ability to provide transportation to participants.
