Responsible to ensure that quality general and psychiatric nursing care is delivered to all patient populations hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric emotional disorders, and addictive disease; to serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team supporting the hospital philosophy of nursing care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient; to provide administrative support to staff during weekends.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the MA State Board of Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or significant specific clinical experience preferred. Three years in nursing, one year of which is in psychiatric nursing. Ability to demonstrate leadership skills in clinical managemtent of inpatient services. Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology and treatment procedures, crisis intervention skills, and skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of clinical and support team members.
