Job Purpose:
Completes customer orders by receiving, entering, and preparing purchase orders and sales orders; notifying customers of shipment of order.
Duties:
* Receives and prepares orders for computer entry.
* Enters customer sales orders and vendor purchase orders by inputting data into order-entry system.
* Verifies orders by reviewing "bill-to" and "ship-to" addresses; flagging for price, promotion problems, and terms limits. Work with sales department as needed.
* Forwards orders to warehouse for filling. Forwards orders to vendor for purhcase.
* Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies. Coordinate with AP on any issues/discrepancies.
* Counting inventory levels on a monthly basis, reconciling and researching differences
* Assess inventory levels and make necessary purchase requirements to fill those levels.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and field trips.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
