Part-time Security Officer

Hours: Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. / Other shifts as assigned to ensure department coverage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Enforcing building rules and regulations.

·       Responsible for Buildings and Grounds Tours.  Locking and checking that all doors are locked and secured.

·       Security of Parking Lots, Employees and Tenants.

·       Interacts with multiple tenants and their guests.

·       Answering phone calls and providing accurate answers.

·       Using security logs and security cameras to ensure security of the buildings and staff.

·       Working under stressful situations and making quick decisions based on the situation. 

·       Working with Fire Dept., Police Dept., and EMS when emergency situations arise.

Qualifications:

·        High School diploma or G.E.D.

·        Able to read and speak English proficiently. 

·        Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Approach.

·        Positive, can-do/will-do attitude and must be a strong team player.

·        Ability to take direction and multi-task priorities as needed.

·        Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with people from all levels of the organization.

·        Ability to provide coverage for shifts with short notice and work over-time from time to time. 

·        Must be able to work Saturday’s from time to time.

This is a fast paced position that requires a lot of moving around from task to task and prioritizing important tasks.  Individual will work under the guidance of the Facilities Director and must be able to work as part of a team accomplishing necessary tasks at hand.
