Description:


 


The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the overall inside sales training program development and delivery is aligned with the business and department goals of our Inside Sales Division.  The individual will monitor the learning needs of the organization to design and develop train materials and programs related to building success factors for account manager core competencies and performances goals. 


 


Responsibilities:


 



  • Develop the outbound phone sales skills of the account managers to increase sales rates by 20%
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing sales training materials
  • Deliver specific training solutions that enhance and develop each account managers skill set while maximizing impact with minimal work disruption
  • Develop and implement a schedule of training programs for the PetEdge Dealer Services division
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness/ROI of the sales training programs
  • Act as a mentor and coach to account managers and account executives.
  • Shadow and coach account managers periodically on customer visits.
  • Partner with Sales Managers to provide day to day leadership and coaching to the account managers
  • Monitor linkage between curriculum and associate performance

 


Requirements:


·         Bachelors Degree required


·    5+ years of Pet or Farm and Feed industry experience required


·         5+ years Sales experience and 2-5 years Training/Supervisory/Management experience


·         Strong curriculum development, training delivery and training evaluation skills


·         Demonstrated leadership skills


·         Outstanding oral and written communication skills


·         Strong attention to detail


·         Project management skills


·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint


·         Display high energy, adventuresome, responsive, focused  and caring attributes


·         Possibility of overnight travel
