ABOUT THE POSITION:
The GMI Client Service Manager is a market research professional with broad MR experience responsible for creating and developing partnership relationships with research and marketing clients. The Account Manager plays a critical role for the organization as the primary client contact and market research expert and possesses exceptional project management skills. The Account Manager is responsible for learning the client’s business and acting as a trusted adviser to all interested decision makers within the account.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients and ensure annual contract renewals.
- Understand the client’s needs and communicate GMI’s ability to meet them
- Debrief the project fulfillment team to ensure an understanding of the client’s issues and objectives, and act as an ongoing resource on custom or complex projects
- Ensure that the project design meets the needs of the client
- Increase client awareness and understanding of GMI's products and capabilities to augment GMI’s position within the account
- Help to maintain existing account relationships to insure they remain healthy, productive and mutually beneficial, with a goal of securing repeat business and achieving targeted revenues with key clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-4 years related work experience with proven ability to manage projects and build client relationships
- BA/BS in Business Marketing, Social Science, or related field
- Must be a strong communicator/listener, strategic thinker
- Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships
- Competitive nature accompanied by strong teamwork ethic and passion for satisfying clients
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and unstructured environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to groups
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects under tight deadlines is essential
- Microsoft Office and Windows expertise
- Market research experience and aptitude is a plus.
