Part-Time Anthropology Lecturer
Tufts University Department of Anthropology is seeking a qualified Part-Time Lecturer, for spring 2010 to teach one course, Biological Anthropology (Anthropology 40), enrollment 150-200 students. Lecture, no sections, but Teaching Assistants are used for grading and office hours. This introductory course applies evolutionary perspectives to basic concepts of human biology -- including Mendelian and population genetics, human growth and adaptation, primates, and human paleontology – and a range of contemporary problems such as emergent diseases, urbanization, and global warming. The proportion devoted to each topic will depend on specialization of the instructor. Teaching experience required. Applicants must have at least ABD standing in Anthropology.
