Field Calibration Technician
Branch Operations/Westwood MA and various surrounding areas
Job Purpose or Summary: Calibration of various instruments in accordance to conformance principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Perform all types of basic to complex instrumentation procedures
•Routinely test instrument accuracy and make adjustments as necessary
•Routine service, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance
•Determine methods and/or procedures for calibration
•Systematize and maintain accurate records of equipment calibration, work order history and completion, inventory, and necessary data requirements needed internally or externally by client
•Reviews materials/documentation to ensure all requirements are being met for GMP’s and internal company SOP’s
•Responsible for the assistance and training of new staff by showing leadership and guidance
•Acts as a liaison between field staff and management
•Preparation of reports, performance measures, fiscal performance for upper management review
•Responsible for notifying management when equipment needs to be ordered
•Responsible for notifying management when equipment is missing, broken, and has been altered incorrectly
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
•Computer literacy – knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, CalMAN
•Has common knowledge of concepts, application, and procedures within field
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong attention to detail
•Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•Abilities to multi-task in a high demand environment
•Abilities to work alongside with a team and independently
•Must have the abilities to learn new software
Basic Qualifications:
•Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
•Associate’s degree in Instrumentation/Calibration or Electrical Engineering required
•Bachelor’s degree strongly desired
•Requires 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
•Experience working with hand tools, calibration equipment, and electrical test equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
•Certified Control System Technicians (CCST) certification strongly desired
•Candidate should have at least at least 3-5 years experience working in a GMP environment
