Join RMD’s Optics and Photonics Group and participate in state-of-the-art research. You will support our scientists in developing novel photonic systems and methods for environmental, industrial and biological sensing. This will be an exciting position for someone with the ability to design and implement experiments from the ground level and to collect and interpret data. We are looking for the individual who wants to take a proactive role in a technically challenging environment.
Job duties will include:
· Working closely with program managers in experimental and prototype design
· Building and testing optical and electronic instrumentation
· Performing extensive and meticulous measurement and characterization
· Analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on experimental data
· Assisting the team in grant and report writing as well as laboratory and inventory maintenance

Our Requirements
· BS in physics, physical chemistry or a related engineering field
· Hands-on experience with some of the following: optics, lasers, electrodynamics, photosensors/detectors, and analogue/digital circuit design.
· Proficiency with LabView and programming platforms such as Visual BASIC, Visual C++, Mathematica, and Matlab are a plus.
