SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to operate Solidedge computer-aided design (CAD) software and assist the Engineering Dept with their layouts and component design. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and ready to apply your skills and talents in a fast paced environment, this may be an excellent career opportunity by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Prepare design layouts of equipment to meet required specifications; create complex assembly, outline, align, detail and other required drawings and bills of materials.
• Select appropriate materials in conjunction with product engineers.
• Prepare tolerance stack-ups and establish fits and tolerances consistent with sound design practice and engineering standards.
• Check layouts, assemblies, details, bills of material and other related drawings and documents.
• Analyze design for conformity to standard industry and engineering department practices.
• Review design for optimum simplicity and economy of manufacture; coordinate with Senior Designer, product engineers, purchasing, manufacturing engineering, and field service.
• Prepare assembly and disassembly instructions for assembly drawings and manuals; prepare engineering data base entry sheets.
• Perform various applicable routine design calculations to insure design integrity and compliance with specification to include hydraulic forces, bolt torques, bearing life, center of gravity, moment of inertia, beam deflection, orifice sizing, hoop stress and shaft size.
• Keep current on division drafting standards and procedures; maintain knowledge of current developments in product design; recommend changes where appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Must have a working familiarity with CAD systems. Specific knowledge of Solidedge CAD software preferred.
• Overall strong PC skills required. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent technical school training with three or more years experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to take a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving and have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be organized and able to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception.
• U.S. citizenship and obtaining a security clearance may be required.
