Job Summary

This position will be responsible for Sourcing, Negotiating, Planning, and Purchasing finished goods and components from suppliers outside the United States. In addition this position will be responsible for developing a strategic sourcing strategy for product categories and new product introductions. Major duties will include sourcing, developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms, planning and procuring goods, and managing supplier performance.

Essential Job Duties:

*Establish strategic sourcing strategy for finished goods products, identify suppliers in the Asian markets and negotiate competitive pricing strategies and terms.

*Manage supplier performance and development.  Work with supplier and Product Management to ensure clear expectations and resolution of requirements.  Measure performance criteria against expectations, implement development plans to improve supplier performance and capabilities.

*Leverage all products within a category to achieve best price.  Establish new sources of supply with most favorable cost and quality to comply with customer requirements and strategic initiatives.

*Support Product Development by sourcing new products to achieve target prices to the retail customer, perceived value and aesthetic presentation to distinguish Kenney products from the the competition.  Oversee and lead completion of Project/Product deadlines ensuring timeliness of all samples and developments to Product Managers. 

*Work with Product Managers, Quality, New Product Development and Finance to educate, offer sales opportunities and properly transition products through the life cycle.

*Monitor Direct Import Program to insure accuracy on the supply side.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelors Degree required; CPM Certification preferred

·        3-5 years experience with global sourcing with a strong emphasis in Asian markets

·        Understanding of consumer products specifications

·        Strong demand Planning skills with experience utilizing ERP, DRP, MRP systems

·        Strong Negotiating skills and ability to develop influential relationships

·        Strong Project Management skills with experience managing new product launches

·        Strong Business acumen to develop and increase profitability

·        Supervisory experience a plus
