Overview:
Individual will report to the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) and/or Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) and will be responsible in maintaining compliance with applicable security regulations for various classified programs. Assist in the execution of an IT security program which exceeds customer expectations, and minimizes security risks. Will assist in the application of information technology security principles, practices and procedures to develop, implement, and manage the overall information system security program.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Responsible to ensure that original system documentation is accurate and that all updates are properly reflected. Ensure all PCs and IS equipment are properly labeled. Conducts and review weekly IS audit logs and report any anomalies to the ISSM, and the FSO, CPSO, or CSSO. Monitors and manages the virus definition updates for all classified IS. Will assists the IAM with government customer inspections. Maintains files of all hard copy/printed IS documentation. Monitors monthly virus updates. Coordinates all IS changes according to program specific processes and procedures. Become familiar with regulations such as the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), DOD Overprint to the NISPOM Supplement, Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/3, and/or the Joint Air Force-Army-Navy and the (JAFAN) 6-3.

2) Participates in the preparation of an Information Systems Secuirty Plans for each assigned program. Such plans include description of how data is to be protected, the types
*fhardware and software the program will use and what systems security procedures will be used.

3) Coordinates information systems security issues with government security representatitves. Develps procedures to use automated audit tools to audit large computer networks and performs such audits.

4) Assist on containing and removing classified data spills from unclassified systems. Will assist on investigation when asked by the IAM and/or CPSO.

5) Individual will be in a liaison role with program management personnel, government customers and collegial security personnel. Must respond to short-notice tasks and provide security engineering and integration services to internal and external customers. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

6) Conducts Information Systems Security briefings. Prepares security documentation. Ensures that IT databases and Configuration management systems are up-to-date and accurate.

7) Ensure that unauthorized personnel are not granted use of, or access to, an IT system.

Other Job Related Information:
Two or more years related IAO experience desired. (In addition to the items listed above, the Essential Functions are: 1. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in the above Section. 2. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; 3. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers; 4. Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents; 5. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles within the programs requirements; 6. Analyze evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule; 7. May require to work additional hours and/or weekends to ensure program compliance and/or mission success. 8. A beeper will be assigned to you and response to calls are 24/7 in nature.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent and two or more years related IAO experience
