Description

This position will be responsible for the cell culture, plating and automated profiling of compounds and proteins in support of our drug discovery programs.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of tumor cell lines in support of Hit-to-Lead and HTS projects.
  • Development of cellular assays for measuring proliferation, survival, cell cycle and apoptosis.
  • Perform primary and Log Dose Response testing of small molecule and biotherapeutics in tumor cell assays.
  • Perform FACS-based analysis for mechanistic studies and cell surface binding studies.
  • Fluorescent based high content analysis for cell assay support

Education/Languages

  • BS/MS in biological sciences, with 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Professional Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience handling multiple types of cancer cell lines as well as primary cells.
  • Solid background in the development and running of cell-based assays for HTS, Hit-to-Lead support & mechanism of action studies.
  • Knowledge of FACS-based technologies for mechanistic studies, preferred.
  • Experience fluorescence based high content analysis is a plus.
  • Experience in using automated equipment would be beneficial.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in team oriented environment.
  • Highly motivated with good organizational skills.
