VP New Business Development

POSITION SUMMARY: The VP – Business Development will be responsible for sales efforts in the Healthcare market segment, focusing on liability claims recovery solutions.  The VP will be responsible for generating new business in a defined, multi-state geography.  This includes utilizing an extensive network of industry executives as well as professional associations to quickly engage hospital business offices in collaborative solution selling.  Travel is required. Vertical knowledge within the Commercial Insurance and/orHospital industry is required.


 


BACKGROUND:


Qualified individuals must have a minimum of 5+ years’ proven sales and business development experience within the hospital revenue cycle environment.  Candidates must bring forth a solid, verifiable network with which to build a business foundation.  Candidates must also possess superior written, verbal, and communication skills, as they will need to communicate with senior executives and conduct presentations on a regular basis.


 


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


·         Assume entrepreneurial role in the areas of mentoring, new business development, process work flows (different lines/types of business), etc.


·         Provide a strategic edge through knowledge/experience transfer having serviced many of our existing clients/targets


·         Leverage winning history with key hospitals to influence new business development (collaborative sales).


·         Mentor winning strategies to leaders to optimize performance (e.g. sloping/scoring/modeling)


·         Consult CCS leaders in the areas of production, quality control, policy development, staffing and customer service


·         When applicable, consult CCS leaders with regard to new branch expansion (strategic experience)


·         Consult CCS leaders with regard to dialing strategies, etc. to optimize portfolio performance

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


B.S. Degree preferred or directly related equivalent experience
