The New Energy Alliance (NEA) is a joint venture between Balfour Beatty Infrastructure and M.J. Electric, a Quanta Services company to support the delivery of National Grid’s U.S. electricity capital investment program in New England. The project is for the design and build of substations and transmission lines in the New England region.
Position Summary:
The Training & Development Manager is responsible for developing, presenting, and managing training programs for NEA employees.
Essential Duties:
Design, develop, promote and deliver training that supports NEA’s goals and objectives;
Recognize and justify new training opportunities and programs that will improve skill sets, and create a winning culture across all levels of the organization;
Interact and effectively communicate training and development from exempt to non-exempt employees;
Design and develop a new hire orientation and on-boarding programs for in house and field staff;
Conduct needs assessments across NEA’s departments and recognize top training needs;
Design and deliver training classes including web-based and classroom based styles;
Track training participants’ completion rates, resolving completion and attendance discrepancies and preparing training reports for all employees;
Assess learning program participants for knowledge and behaviors learned;
Continue improving course content and program delivery techniques;
As a member of the HR group, assist others with assignments and learn generalist duties;
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
10 plus years experience in training and development
Proficiency in successfully delivering, designing and implementing learning solutions in a business setting
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
Certification in DISC, Myers Briggs, 360 Feedback, and Situational Leadership or other instruments preferred
Prior experience within utility construction or construction management
