Under the general supervision of the First Vice President Residential Lending, performs a variety of duties related to the origination of first and second mortgages and equity lines of credit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Qualifies applicants based on program requirements.

2.      Reviews pipeline reports on a daily basis.

3.      Analyzes credit reports and verifies income, employment, and assets. 

4.      Analyzes appraisal reports to ensure they meet secondary market and regulatory guidelines. 

5.      Reviews tax returns and financial statements for qualification and compliance with secondary market guidelines. 

6.      Uses automated underwriting systems (Desktop Underwriter DU) and follows for all requirements of DU approval.

7.      Answers all inquiries from officers, applicants and brokers regarding pipeline status.

8.      Recommends/approves mortgages within loan authority.

9.      Follows for resolution of conditional approvals.

10.  Provides assistance to loan originators when needed.

11.  Compiles monthly quality control reports.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Ensures confidentiality of customer transactions.

·        Maintains a knowledge of customer services in area of responsibility.

·        Maintains a weekly cash flow and progress report.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.
