Develops, implements and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations.

Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

Essential job functions:

• Conducts training in emergency response, hazardous material handling, industrial hygiene, life safety and ergonomic compliance-related activities.
  
• Organizes and coordinates waste shipments, waste stream analysis and outside consultant assistance as needed.
  
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining environmental management system.
  
• Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety exists.
  
• Has a role in the administration of the Workers' Compensation Program.
  
• Has a role in the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.

Other responsibilities / accountabilities:

• Responsible for EHS function at our Warwick, RI facility. Travel is required, approximately 20%.
  
• Work effectively with other staff members to resolve problems.
  
• Creates and gives presentations. Research, analyze and compile data.
  
• Work on energy reduction and EHS projects.
