Finance Director

Come join an industry leader where you will have the opportunity to build an effective business partnership between the Operations group and Corporate Finance team. Supported by a proven track record of success, you will have the ability to persuade and influence senior management and the capacity to actively engage and guide the financial team to meet its goals and objectives. Individuals will be challenged with leading the monthly business segment financial close process and supporting the business unit's budgeting, forecasting and operations planning activities. This high visibility position reports into the VP Operations Finance, and supervises direct reports.

Key Accountabilities
- Oversees the monthly business segment financial close process including preparation of monthly revenue recognition, labor and cost analysis and A/R aging review & control
- Responsible for financial analysis, consolidation and management reporting
- Joint-driver of profitability, competitiveness, and client pricing initiatives together with Operations Personnel
- Develops business segment metrics & scorecards to track performance against plan in order to facilitate a data driven review of business performance
- Implements & monitors business segment level financial controls in compliance with PAREXEL corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Assesses the impact of non-standard financial terms in contracts on the business segment as needed
- Member of Management Committee and/or other leadership teams/committees as appropriate for the business
- Promotes a team-oriented, trusting environment
- Solicit ideas and opinions from others to help form specific plans or project initiatives
- Provide staff performance feedback through formal staff appraisals and assists with training and work assignments/career development to maintain a professional staff with sufficient knowledge, skills, experience and professional certifications.
- Provides leadership for staff.

Education:
Bachelor of Science degree (or international equivalent) in Finance or Accounting. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. CPA Preferred

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
7 - 10 years professional experience in positions of increasing responsibility.

Required skills:
Firm understanding of US GAAP & experience with accounting information systems. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to confidently communicate with Senior Management. Strong analytical skills. Initiative and autonomy. Ability to organize and meet strict deadlines.
