OnSite Medical Biller

HBCS is a leader in healthcare receivables management.  As a Medical Biller you will work onsite at our clients facilities.  You will utilize your knowledge of the insurance billing and claims process by analyzing and applying payer contract conditions to ensure that all elements of the claim are accurate.  You will research, identify and document discrepancies that hinder claim payment and interact with payers and other third parties to resolve in a timely manner.  Must have experience with commercial third party payers.  Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid a plus.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of healthcare billing and denial management/follow-up for hospital and physician claims.
• Basic knowledge of coding terminology including ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC codes, as well as UB-04 and 1500 claims forms.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• 1 - 2 years of experience with patient accounts receivable and/or insurance claims processing.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work an 8:00am - 5:00pm shift
• Must be willing to travel to client sites within the area.
