EP’s EBSCOhost Applications Engineering team is currently seeking a Software Developer to work within the Quality Assurance group as a contributor in support of the EAE Quality Assurance effort.  The successful candidate will have an opportunity to design and develop sophisticated applications to certify software components and services and help define the approach with which these systems are validated.

Essential functions of this position include:

• Develop and execute automated appliances for server components, system interfaces and client components.
• Perform engineering reviews of the automation architecture and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Enhance the automation suite, reporting services, and processes as needed.
• Use knowledge of systems and technologies, as well as troubleshooting skills, to investigate issues in order to determine the potential cause for failures.  
• Track quality assurance metrics as appropriate.
• Effectively communicate with QA and Development team members.

Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5 years experience in a related field.
• 2+ years experience with the C# programming language.
• 2+ years of experience with Web Application technology, including IIS, and .NET.
• 2+ years experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL.
• 2+ years of experience with Unit testing techniques.

 Qualified applicants must have an understanding of application architecture and experience working with multi-tiered, multi-threaded application systems. Experience with automated testing techniques is a plus. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong analytical ability, and problem solving skills.
