EP’s Enterprise Systems Development group is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will qualify applications developed by the Editorial Systems Development team for use by the Editorial group.

Essential functions include:

• Develop and execute test plans and scripts based on requirements documentation and functional specifications.
• Report defects using the defect tracking database.
• Effectively communicate with Development, Editorial and Project Management.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in the field or 4 Years equivalent experience. 3+ years experience as a Quality Assurance engineer is required for this position. Qualified applicants must have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, a positive attitude and be a team player.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Deep understanding of Web technologies, client / server technologies, performance and automation testing.
• Experience testing DB based applications, Oracle 9i/10g is a plus. Good understanding RDBMS principles - relations, triggers, procedures. Ability to read, write and troubleshoot complex SQL statements.
• Experience with XML technologies – DTD, Schema, XPath, XSLT
• Experience working in dynamic fast-paced/agile environment. Multitasking and self-driven person.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to understand product architecture and apply different testing approaches.
  Create test plans and identify test scenarios. Knowledge of component/API/GUI level testing principles.
• Test automation experience using JUnit, Java, Selenium, QTP, Python, Perl, PHP is a plus
• Passionate about technology, enthusiastic and energetic
• Experience as a software engineer is a plus
• Experience with Java based Automation and SQL is strongly preferred
