EP’s EBSCOhost Product Management team is currently seeking a User Experience Analyst / Information Architect to lead interaction design for Web and iPhone applications.
You get to be involved from ideation through the project life cycle, leading collaboration with cross-functional teams to define new interfaces and enhancements that serve our users and business.
You are able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, guiding teams to the best possible solution, and advocating for the user throughout the development process. You enjoy collaboration, but can make "the call" when needed.
You have the experience to assess project communication needs and pull the right tools out of your toolbox for the situation, using mind-maps, prototypes, wireframes, use cases, flow charts, user stories, context diagrams, swimlanes – whatever the situation requires.
You can dig into the details of design but not lose track of the big picture. You can effectively communicate detailed requirements with use cases or user stories, and also guide and review the requirements documentation of other analysts.
You look to user research to inform design decisions, preparing for and facilitating formal and informal usability tests and focus groups.
You stay up to date with industry and competitive trends, sharing your knowledge with the team to foster our innovative and creative culture.
And of course, we expect you to be able to multi-task, organize your work to set and meet deadlines, think analytically, and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Required qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree .
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Information Architecture, Requirements Analysis, or Product Management on complex web-based software, search, and/or library technology products.
Bonus points for library experience, especially with research databases or OPACs.
