Overall Responsibilities
To assist the Chief Engineer with certain television/IT
technologies. This includes having the
ability to perform and resolve several difficult tasks with limited direct
input from the Chief Engineer.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Must be familiar with wireless communication
systems, computing networks and consumer devices (setup, administration,
maintenance and backup)

Work with the Chief Engineer to resolve any
technological issues that may arise at the facility.

Coordinate with vendors for the purchase of
equipment. For larger ticket items,
provide input to the Chief Engineer, but the Chief Engineer must provide
direction to ensure the purchase is within the fiscal budget. For repair or routine purchases, coordinate
with vendors to ensure timely purchase of materials.

Perform necessary maintenance, repair and
backups of all information technology equipment.
·
Utilize network industry contacts to investigate
available options for technical issues
·
Must have the ability to safely and promptly
address/resolve systemic failures with little to no direct supervision from the
Chief Engineer.

Train personnel on the usage of new equipment
Minimum Requirements
·
Six to ten (6-10) years experience in IT design
and implementation of TCP/IP networks and HPC clusters.
·
MCSE and Linux experience required
·
Five to seven (5 - 7) years experience in
component level repair and maintenance of communication equipment.
·
High School Diploma or equivalency; Associates
Degree in Electronics.
·
Technical Certificates or proficiency in
computers, networks, or television technology.
·
Military Electronics Schooling; Vocational
Technical Schooling in communications technology or computer systems.
