Position Overview


Responsible for defining test programs for customer requirements, planning and coordinating the Validation and Test activities within the Test Organization.



Primary responsibilities


Working with customer to optimize & define test requirements and objectives


Monitor all aspects of testing process to insure continuous alignment with customer requirements


Assist in carrying out the cell level validation & testing; communicate results to Applications


Responsible for planning & analyzing various cycle life testing and model the reliability behavior for various customer applications


Insure effective communication both internally to meet customer and organizational requirements


Ability to identify root cause of complex problems and engage A123 colleagues & customers [when required] to solve the problems & standard solutions



Specific Skills/Abilities


Demonstrated progressive responsibility and hands on experience with product engineering, validation and testing within an OEM and/or Tier 1 engineering supplier


Extensive know-how and experience with reliability engineering methods, product compliance and project management


Proven success on a highly creative and fast progressing engineering environment


Detailed understanding of battery requirements, energy systems, and their functional interactions and dependencies is ideal


Excellent written & oral communication skills including the ability to resolve conflicts which may arise both internally and externally



Education/Experience


Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


5-7 years of relevant experience


Battery or energy related industries preferred


Demonstrated experience against delivering to customer expectations
