In this role you will help manage our portfolio of US Retail brands, playing a key role in leading High Liner Foods to success. As a member of the US Retail marketing team, the Brand Manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing, and other brand managers as well as internal and external resources to execute all areas of brand management - brand strategy, product development, packaging development, promotions, advertising, and market research.
In this role you will be responsible for the marketing of assigned product lines with the goal of achieving sales and profit objectives. You will contribute as part of a team to meet corporate goals, including identifying opportunities for growth and new product launches by providing excellent marketing programs, team leadership and business judgment.

1. Achieve annual sales, profit and market share objectives.
2. Develop and implement annual business and marketing plans, including volume and profit objectives, strategies, consumer promotion, advertising, packaging, pricing and trade promotion.
3. Analyze and evaluate the business for short and long term growth. This includes analyzing and evaluating the market, consumer needs, and competitive strategies to help determine areas of opportunities and weaknesses.
4. Develop and launch new products and/or line extensions, including analysis of markets, competition, research (qualitative), volume forecasts, pricing, trade promotions, P&L's, product testing (quantitative) and market implementation.
5. Effectively manage the day to day business for product line responsibility: product, positioning, consumer promotion, pricing, trade promotion, and profitability.
6. Act as project lead on cross-functional teams to drive new product launches, product improvements, advertising campaigns, and promotions. Keep project on task and proactively contribute to an environment that fosters and rewards teamwork.
7. Monitor consumer acceptance of product quality versus competition, and ensure that product quality is consistent with product positioning.
8. Maintain close working relationship with Sales, Product Development and Operations.
9. Manage assigned portion of fixed marketing budget.
10. Develop and maintain working relationships with advertising agency, promotion, research, and design suppliers, and industry professionals.
Four year degree in Business or Marketing. Master’s degree is desirable. 5+ years of brand management experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods environment strongly preferred Strong strategic and analytical skills Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and project management skills Strong communication, organizational and team skills
