Director Visual Merchandising

We have an exciting opportunity at iParty for a talented Visual Merchandiser! The person we are looking for takes initiative, welcomes challenges, and builds strong relationships through collaboration.


Major Responsibilities



  • Follow company direction and develop visual strategies in support of the total company
  • Provide visual direction for increased product sell-through
  • Oversee and drive the development, creation and timeline for all visual merchandising directives including:


      • Everyday and seasonal planograms, layouts and memos
      • Store merchandising standards
      • All store signage

  • Develop floor plans for new stores and remodeled stores
  • Work with Merchandising to formulate and publish achievable planogram schedules
  • Ensure brand and visual consistency is upheld throughout the chain
  • Provide direction and clarification to the stores regarding presentation and product initiatives
  • Collect feedback and future recommendations regarding store presentation and signage
  • Research and communicate with Merchandising items that are becoming a major trend and maximize presentation
  • Manage budgets to ensure effective use of finance in areas of fixtures and signage
  • Develop a high performance team by being a coach and mentor to staff
  • Build constructive, effective relationships throughout the stores and support office to align support for visual merchandising and brand initiatives

Qualifications




  • Strong management, communication and organizational skills


  • Excellent time management skills


  • Intense attention to detail and accuracy


  • Five or more years of visual merchandising and management experience in a corporate retail chain


  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent experience


  • Proficient in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Photoshop


  • Ability to learn or prior experience with Space Management software


  • Working knowledge and use of digital camera
