This is an administrative position that is responsible for gathering, and assembling data and information to support the Category Management process.

• Category Manager Support: the primary responsibility for this position is to provide data reports, and summary analysis of those reports. The ability to assemble reports with relevant information is a basic responsibility of this job.
  
• Inventory: develop a system to track items tagged to be discontinued. As the person develops experience it is expected that the candidate will get directly involved with the process of eliminating product from our inventory at minimal cost.
  
• Customer data: develop reports which integrate data supplied by customers into the total data reporting base.
  
• Syndicated data: integrate syndicated or “market data” into reports by sourcing this data directly from data providers (IRI, Nielsen), manufacturers, or from other sources.
  
• Supplier data: integrate relevant data offered by suppliers into the total Imperial data picture.
  
• Study all this data and develop observations based on the data.
  
• Retail advertising: as directed develop weekly reports on relevant retailer ads.
  
• Demonstrated ability to build reports, analyze those reports, and make recommendation based on that data.

Special skills:

• Knowledge of Sequel system.
  
• Strong PC skills especially in Excel.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Able to travel occasionally.
  
• Self-starter.
  
• 1-2 years experience analyzing data
