Accounting Supervisor/Manager

We are a small-sized credit union in the New Bedford/Fall River Massachusetts area beginning a search for an Accounting Supervisor/Manager. This individual will direct two staff members and manage all practices and activities in the Finance and Accounting functions to ensure compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This is a very hands-on position.  The individual will be responsible for topical compliance and will manage the auditing, accounting, recordkeeping activities of the credit union and act as liaison to our IT management provider. Our VISA/Debit Program function will also be included in the responsibility area of this well-rounded individual.

It is essential that a congenial personality be an integral part of the successful candidate’s working standards.  Interaction with all levels of members and management at our credit union, and our extended SEG sponsor, will be critical to the position.

We are looking for an individual with some credit union experience, a BS in Accounting as a minimum but a CPA preferred, and who has some experience in presenting monthly reports to the ALCO Committee and potentially to the Board of Directors, as well as working with Regulators and Auditors.
