We are currently looking for a full time Bilingual Field/Telephone Interviewer. In that position, the Field/Telephone Interviewer will:
· Administer the informed consent and conduct one on one field research interviews with a diverse group of respondents;
· Collect physiological data from respondents (blood pressure, height/weight and hip/waist measurements);
· Follow data collection procedures and project specific protocols with respondents;
· Enlist respondent participation in follow-up study by telephone;
· Use project tracking techniques to help find “lost” respondents;
· Complete all necessary paperwork in a thorough and timely manner following specified procedures and protocols for all editing and paperwork;
· Attend project meetings and debriefing sessions, while communicating daily with supervisory staff at NERI
Qualifications:
· Must be bilingual (English/Spanish);
· Must be willing to travel and conduct interviews throughout the city of Boston and up to a 90 mile radius of Watertown. Business travel mileage will be reimbursed
· Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience; or high school diploma and 4 years’ related experience and/or training;
· Ability to conduct non-biased interviews and experience with telephone work;
· Ability to interview difficult respondents and have strong interpersonal skills;
· Evening and/or weekend work is required.
· A valid Driver’s License, Car and Valid Auto Insurance are required.
· Ease and familiarity with computers is required, experience with database software is required
