Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Electro-Mechanical Drafter.
This is a 6-8 week contract position for a Cad Drafter with Pro-E experience.
Purpose
Lays out, details, and modifies complex electro-mechanical devices and drawings as directed.
Key Responsibilities
Makes major or complex alterations or revisions to production and engineering drawings in compliance with department procedures.
Ensures that complete, accurate bills of material are prepared and maintained.
Makes changes to existing solid models and assemblies while maintaining model integrity and design intent.
Works with design engineering to complete projects to dimension and tolerance design models for assembly fits with little input.
Performs fixture design and supports manufacturing engineering.
Supports the Document Control function by implementing and closing ECNs, entering new part numbers and creating inspection plans.
Actively participates in various departmental and operational meetings throughout the facility.
Performs other related duties of comparable complexity as directed.
Critical Success Factors
Technical Skills: Requires drafting certification. Experience with GD&T, medical products and military products desirable but not required.
Education: Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 3 years of drafting experience with the use of a CAD workstation.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS office is a must. Previous experience in AutoCad R14 or a more recent release required and Pro Engineer Wildfire 2.0 with Intralink preferred. 3D experience using Inventor 6.0 is a plus.
Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.
