Cara Donna Provision Co in Braintree, Ma., a New England Broad-line wholesale food service distributor, is seeking a Manager of Accounts Receivable and Credit. Specific experience in both credit and food service is preferred. Candidates should be organized and have outgoing personalities, aggressive nature and the determination to be a high earner.

Responsibilities:
The Manager of Accounts Receivable and Credit will be responsible for the direct management of Cara Donna’s Accounts Receivable accounting, cash applications, collections, overall credit management and executive/operational reporting.  This position provides great opportunity for growth, a flexible work environment, and a career you can grow with! Our ideal candidate will be a professional that can develop and implement collection reduction strategies to maximize recoveries, increase our collection efficiencies and reduce bad debts by performing the following duties:

• Ownership of all monthly and quarterly Cara Donna AR and cash collections, GL and financial close activity, along with associated reporting requirements, inclusive of global consolidation


• Consolidated company AR, cash, and executive reporting


• Cara Donna’s AR collection responsibility


• Management of collection and cash application staffing


• Review of account reconciliations and journal entries


• Responsible for timely and accurate operations of internal controls


• Project leadership associated with all strategic / process improvement initiatives impacting AR and Cash applications


• Cross-functional leadership with Cara Donna’s Administrative, Sales, Finance, Operational, departments regarding issue resolution


• Responsibility of credit policy enforcement, including credit risk management and establishment of guidelines associated with the granting of credit to Cara Donna’s customers


• Stay current on best credit and collection practices, business issues and collection laws

Qualifications:

o        5+ years of credit and collection experience and 3 years supervisory experience preferred

o       Ability to recommend operating policies and procedures with hands-on approach

o       Ability to interact well with customers and management

o       Ability to ensure credit policies are properly executed and make sound business judgments

o       Track record of success

o       Strong negotiations and effective communication skills

o       Ability to communicate both in English and Spanish a plus

o       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred

o       Proficient with Microsoft Office products

o       AS400 experience preferred
