Overview
Our residential school and campus in Lancaster, MA (5 miles west of 495; 20 minutes from Worcester) has two full-time master’s-level social work/mental health clinical positions available working with children aged 7-18, many of whom have histories of abuse, neglect and family disruption and present with emotional and behavioral problems. Strength-based, family-centered, cognitive-behavioral and DBT approaches are emphasized.
Our eighteen-bed, staff-secure program provides a range of comprehensive treatment services which includes individual, group and family treatment, specific groups to treat sexual behavior problems, fire-setting and other difficulties, and diagnostic assessments. Students attend a full-year school and participate in adventure-based learning through our ropes course, NYPUM minibike program and other educational and experiential programming. Caseworkers are assigned to work with clinicians and assist in case management. Opportunities to attend professional workshops are strongly supported.
Position Responsibilities
· Provide individual and family therapy and case management to assigned case load.
· Develop, present and adhere to Individualized Treatment Plans.
· Follow all RFK Lancaster Clinical and Program policies and procedures.
· Provide leadership regarding program philosophy and policy in all forums including: program and school staff meetings, campus trainings and clinical meetings.
· Actively participate in the residential milieu and behavioral/educational/experiential programming.
· Facilitate group treatment to campus residents according to treatment recommendations and as designated by Clinical Director.
· Assist in facilitating treatment team meetings from intake to discharge.
· Represent Agency to referral sources and function as a member of program administration.
· Provide clinical training/in-service to Program Milieu Staff.
· Attend all required meetings.
· Participate in Annual Program Review process and Quarterly Program Review Process.
· Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Clinical Director and/or Program Director.
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s level education (MSW; M.A., M.S., M. Ed.), familiarity with child developmental and family systems theory and residential experience preferred. Massachusetts driver’s license required. Beginning salary mid to upper 30K, commensurate with experience and training.
