RN Ambulatory

Cambridge Health Alliance is a nationally recognized, award-winning health care system that serves the residents of Cambridge, Somerville and Boston's Metro-North region. It is comprised of The Cambridge Hospital, Somerville Hospital, Whidden Memorial Hospital, the Cambridge Public Health Department, more than 20 primary care practices and Network Health - a statewide managed Medicaid health plan.

Ambulatory RN
Part-time, 32 Hours, Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri
Schedule: 10:30 a - 7:00 p or 11:00 a - 7:30 p
Location: Revere, MA

In this role, qualified candidate will be responsible for the following:

-Able to work in a demanding, busy and fast paced environment.
-Work independently and as a team member through positive interactions with other health care providers and support staff.
-Promote and coordinate efficient patient flow.
-Triage and maintain awareness of patients with acute problems.
-Triage adult and pediatric patient calls.
-Able to work with all patient populations from neonates to geriatrics.
-Administer immunizations to total population (neonates-geriatrics).
-Administer medications per provider instruction.
-Provide patient education and teaching to promote continuity care (nutrition, diabetes, hypertension, health promotions, cancer screening, safety, anticipatory guidance).
-Supervise quality control.
-Maintain emergency/clinical equipment.
-Participate in quality assurance as well as quality improvement activities.
-Provide clinical orientation. Direct and oversee clinical care provided by Medical Assistants under supervision of Nurse Manager.
-Able to manage a full case load care management patients.
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

-Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
-Recent Ambulatory/Clinic Experience with at least 5 years experience required.
-Experience working with Pediatric population required.
-Experience with Immunizations for all ages (neonates - geriatrics).
-Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese or Haitain-Creole preferred.
-Familiarity with electronic medical record (EPIC) system preferred.
